I shall be attending the above in my capacity as a member of DEFRA’s Strategic Regulatory Scrutiny Panel. It is anticipated that the Secretary of State, Caroline Spelman, will be giving her response to the Farming Better Regulation Taskforce Report, which amongst its 210 recommendations requested the establishment to the Panel to scrutinise proposals for future regulation.
